"Angie Mandl is the kind of photographer you hope to find and hold onto. She looks after us at New York Bridal Market and does it with a rare mix of talent, generosity and an incredibly high work ethic. Whatever the brief, she delivers, and she does it with a warmth and calmness that makes everyone around her feel better.
What sets Angie apart is not just the quality of her images, which is exceptional, but the person behind the camera. She brings years of experience, a genuinely lovely personality and a way of putting people at ease that you cannot fake. Whether you need her on an editorial shoot or by your side on your big day, she is exactly who you want in the room.
I would recommend Angie in a heartbeat. If you have the chance to work with her, take it."

DOCUMENTARY-LED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITH AN EDITORIAL EYE
Wedding Photographer in CT, NY & CA
A European eye,
and a lifelong habit of noticing.
Angie Mandl is an award-winning wedding photographer serving New York, Connecticut, and California. Her work brings together documentary observation and editorial refinement, shaped by a background in documentary photography, fashion, fine jewelry, and bridal couture.
She approaches each celebration with calm direction and close attention to gesture, architecture, tradition, and the moments that cannot be directed—creating photographs that feel elegant, honest, and deeply personal.

THE PHILOSOPHY
Photographs shaped by attention—
to gesture, atmosphere, and place.
I photograph weddings as I experience them: noticing the architecture that gives a celebration its setting, the traditions that give it meaning, and the human gestures that make it personal.
My documentary instincts allow the day to unfold honestly, while my editorial background brings intention to portraiture, composition, and detail. The result is a wedding story that feels refined without becoming removed from real life—preserving not only how the celebration looked, but the character and atmosphere of being there.
behind
Three Years in Delhi
mother to two Sons
Married for over 22 years
Delhi was home for three years while we raised our family there. It is also where documentary photography became a serious part of my life, through work with a local NGO.
My two sons are now in college. Seeing the world through their eyes keeps me curious, occasionally humbled, and certain that they have taught me as much as I have taught them.
Michael and I have built a life across several countries, raised two sons, and shared more adventures than we could count. We still agree that booking the next trip is usually a good idea.

"Our experience was the definition of luxury - we felt like ourselves the entire day."
Angie's photographs are beautiful fine art captures that we will treasure forever. We can't get over the magazine-worthy captures of us - meanwhile, most of the time we did not even notice we were being captured. A seamless, wonderful experience.
